"FAITH WILL FIND ENCOURAGEMENT"
We've all been discouraged. We know what it feels like to have tried and failed so many times that we believe that we cannot succeed in that certain endeavor. It might be that, at times, what we are trying to accomplish is something that we do not have the talent or the capability to do, and we need help from one who can do it.
Sometimes, we are asking God for help. We have a problem that is so great that it threatens us in some way. We have
exhausted every thought of a solution to this problem. We have been praying to God for help and as we wait and wait, nothing
seems to be emerging, and so we become discouraged and we think that God will not answer.
James said, in James 1:2, 3 "My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your
faith produces patience." God tests us and we must accept the fact that He will test us in every way. Sometimes He will delay
in His answer to our prayers and it might be for any one of several reasons, one of which could be a testing of our faith.
It is in the dark hours of our lives that we must hold onto our faith. One of the greatest gifts that God has given us is the
gift of His Holy Spirit. Because of this gift we are able to believe in things that we have not seen. We are able to believe
that Jesus Christ is God's Son and that he was abused, tortured and crucified but He rose from the dead on the third day. This
faith is brought about through the study of His word.
During those times of discouragement, Faith Will Find Encouragement…encouragement to persist and to "be strong in the
Lord and the power of His might." (Galatians 6:10)
