A Message from Mike Tidwell

Well, the Big Day in May for 2012, is now history. I must say that it was a screaming success, and if you were not present, you missed a blessing, for sure. We had 306 for worship and the singing was amazing.

The reason that our Big Day was a success is because of each of you. You made it a success. Good things in life rarely just happen on their own, but rather because someone had a vision of what might be. Successful endeavors do not happen by accident.

I have never been more proud of a congregation of the Lord's people. I saw the love and friendship that was poured out on our visitors last Lord's Day. I heard so many positive comments regarding the quality of the worship experience at Neely's Bend. I KNOW THAT WE WILL GROW FROM THE EFFORT THAT WAS PUT FORTH.

I just want to thank all the members who worked so hard to make this event the success that it has been. I will not mention names as I would surely miss one. I would just like the thank all the people that prepared the food for the dinner, the people who worked hard to get out the mailing, for the effort and expense that was put forth for the tent and tables, for those who labored to get the building prepared, to those who worked the grounds and parking, and all those who contributed to the special contribution, and Oh yes, to the elders for the chicken...Ahh, the gospel bird. I especially want to thank all those who invited someone personally, to come, regardless of whether or not they complied. It was all grand and everyone enjoyed it immensely.

I am looking forward to the next big event. I want you to look forward with me.
