In 1990 Churches of Christ Disaster Relief Effort, Inc. began.

1990 - present, John co-founded, volunteered and is now President of Churches of Christ Disaster Relief Effort, Inc.
Since then, God has enabled us, through generous contributions from congregations and individuals, to deliver 182 million dollars of relief supplies to local Churches of Christ in disaster areas.
The boxes of food, supplies, and cleaning products allow these congregations to demonstrate to their community the compassion of Christ.
The program has only 15 paid employees in the whole national organization. All of the rest, including truck drivers and warehouse workers, work as volunteers, giving of their time and talents to be able to make each contributed dollar provide three dollars in service at the disaster site.
